Day Care

Living Positive Kenya runs a day care for children under 6 in the Mathare (sounds like Madari) Slum in Ngong. We cater to over 70 children from the ages of 2-6. During this important developmental stage of their life we teach them english, kswahili, numbers, shapes and other basic skills to prep them for primary school.

The children who are attending the day care all have mothers that are a part of the WEEPS LPP program they are all HIV + or carriers of the virus. The percentage of the children with HIV in our daycare is unknown. It is a reality however that some of the children are living with the HIV virus.

The school is not in the best shape that it could so it is our dream to move the school to a nicer piece of land outside of the slums along with our sewing factory!

We are in the process of starting out the long process of raising money and finding a suitable piece of land for us to purchase!

We will let you know more as we continue!

Asante Sana
